Current Research Activities
Assessing the efficacy of Albendazole in the treatment of hookworm and other soil-transmitted helminth infections
Assessing the genetic predispositions of human subjects in endemic areas to schistosomiasis and soil-transmitted helminth infections.
Current Projects
Research Project Title: The Anthelminthic Response Map of Ghana; the project is aimed at determining the prevalence of soil-transmitted helminths in Ghana, and assessing the level of resistance of hookworms to Albendazole treatment.
Research Project Title: StarWORMS; the project is aimed at developing accurate, cost-effective strategies in monitoring albendazole or benzimidazole efficacy, particularly in areas where such MDAs have been or are being carried out.
